38-year-old stole goods from Sports Direct
A Ballasalla man has been ordered to pay £145 in compensation after stealing hundreds of pounds of clothing from a high street retailer.
Craig Phillip Teare, of Crossag Close, entered Sports Direct in Douglas just after 1pm on 4 February.
The 38-year-old left 15 minutes later with more than £660 of Nike goods.
At Douglas Courthouse he was handed 14 weeks custody suspended for 2 years.
Sentencing him; Deputy High Bailiff Rachael Braidwood also ordered him to pay prosecution costs.
