User pleads guilty to possessing the drug
A Douglas man's appeared in court charged with cannabis possession.
Twenty-seven-year-old Wesley Milson Jenkins, of Vicarage Mews, pleaded guilty to the offence at Douglas courthouse earlier.
Officers discovered two small parcels and a partly-smoked joint when they pulled Jenkins over for driving with illegal number plates on 29 January.
The drugs had a street value of under £10.
Deputy High Bailiff Jayne Hughes gave Jenkins full credit for his co-operation and early guilty plea.
He's been fined £500 and ordered to pay £125 in costs.
"We think it's inhumane the way he was treated."
