Licensing ban and 18-month probation order
A Ballasalla man faces a pub ban after punching his wife.
Melvyn James Collister, of Crossag Terrace, appeared in court today charged with common assault on a female.
The 39-year-old pleaded guilty to the offence at Douglas Courthouse for striking his spouse in July of this year.
Deputy High Bailiff Jane Hughes issued Collister with a nine-month licensing ban and imposed a probation order for 18 months.
