Ridout denies committing the offence
A 32-year-old Douglas man's appeared in court charged with common assault on a female.
Sean Declan Ridout of St Catherine's Drive went before magistrates at Douglas Courthouse earlier.
He denies committing the offence outside an address on Hailwood Avenue on 14 July.
The case has been adjourned until 21 November at 2.30pm.
