Driver bailed pending ongoing enquiries
A man has been arrested following the death of a 21-year-old cyclist last Saturday.
Luke McNicholas passed away after colliding with a vehicle travelling on the Curragh Road while riding his electric bike along the public cycle path in St John’s, towards the Western Civic Amenity site.
It took place around 3.20pm.
Police have subsequently arrested the driver of the vehicle in connection with 'road traffic offences at the scene'.
The 29-year-old was bailed pending the outcome of ongoing enquiries.
