35-year-old to stand trial
A Douglas man who’s denied possessing drugs during the TT fortnight will stand trial.
Lee James Willis, of Lord Street, is accused of having heroin in his possession at Noble’s Park on 25 May.
Four days later, on Barrack Street in Douglas, it’s alleged the 35-year-old was found with cannabis.
A pre-trial review will take place on 6 August; he’s been bailed until that date.
Update: At a subsequent appearance on 31 October 2024, Willis pleaded guilty to possession of cannabis and was fined £100, plus prosecution costs of £125.
The prosecution did not offer any evidence relating to the heroin charge and the charge did not proceed.
