21-year-old denies charge
A Douglas man will appear in court again in July, accused of an indecent assault on his sleeping ex-girlfriend.
Twenty-one-year-old Willen Alan Kelly of Doves Croft appeared before magistrates at Douglas courthouse.
He denies indecent assault at his home on 19 December.
Prosecution advocate Roger Kane told the court Mr Kelly and his partner had been on a night out before they returned home together.
The hearing was told Mr Kelly and his girlfriend went to bed together partially dressed.
Mr Kane said twice that night, she awoke to find he was touching her genitals – both times she moved his hand and tried to wrap the duvet around her.
After speaking to a friend about her concerns, she later broke off the relationship and reported the incident.
Magistrates declined to hear that case, saying it would have to go to a Court of General Gaol Delivery.
Mr Kelly was in the sum of £500, and will next appear in court on 6 July.
