It says the current site is 'full'
The Malew Burial Authority is applying for planning permission to expand the cemetery bordering Church Bends.
It says the present burial ground is full and the proposed extension would last for 'at least' 10 to 15 years.
Plans show that there would be four burial areas separated by marked asphalt paths, and in the centre would be a tree or fountain.
A storage shed would also be installed and the current parking spaces would remain with no additional room provided.
The application is currently pending consideration and can be found here.
