M.E. healthcare service 'more important than ever'

Shoes placed on Tynwald Hill for M.E. awareness week

A local support group have placed shoes along Tynwald Hill this afternoon, as part of M.E. Awareness Week.

The shoes are to act as a symbol of the 350 people who are known to suffer from the neurological disease on the Island, leaving them in what the organisation calls 'a state of permanent lockdown'.

Hazel Jordan of M.E. Support Isle of Man explains why it's more important than ever to highlight the disease:

Hazel issued her support for local M.E. sufferer Juan Corlett, who is currently raising money for biomedical research into the condition.
