Chair questions current Covid rules
A representative of pubs on the Island has echoed calls for more salary support for Manx businesses.
Geoff Joughin is chair of the Licensed Victuallers Association and owner of the Albert Hotel in Douglas.
He says although current restrictions mean close contacts don't need to self isolate, keeping pubs open where staff have tested positive for Covid-19 doesn't make sense.
Mr Joughin thinks as long as pubs and bars feel compelled to shut their doors government should be providing more salary support:
