Local astronomer plays down "supermoon"
A total lunar eclipse will be visible from the Island in the early hours of tomorrow morning (Mon 28), weather allowing.
The event gets underway around 1.25am.
Totality - that's where the whole disc of the moon is obscured by the earth's shadow - will last from around 3.12 am to around 4.25 am
Local astronomer Howard Parkin says the eclipse is well worth getting up for, but the much vaunted, so-called "Supermoon" isn't anything special.
