Handful of patients treated off-Island
Fewer than four per cent of stroke patients in the Island have been transferred to hospitals in England in each of the last five years.
Health Minister Howard Quayle was asked about the issue in a question for written answer in this week's House of Keys sitting.
Mr Quayle revealed that fewer than 10 patients per year have had to travel to the UK for diagnosis or treatment.
The Department advised that there are around 250 in total on the Island.
