Island-first to take place this weekend
The Isle of Man's first low-noise firework display will take place on Friday.
Port Erin Commissioners will be trialling the so called 'silent fireworks' on Friday at Port Erin Beach from 7.30pm onwards.
The display, supported by the Domestic Event Fund, could still reach 70 decibels, which is around half the volume of regular fireworks.
