Tynwald set for further debate on matter
A Labour peer, who was the architect of a 2016 scheme which saw hundreds of unaccompanied children come to live in the UK, is urging the Manx Government to rethink its stance on Syrian refugees.
Lord Dubs has been speaking ahead of a Tynwald debate on the matter this week.
He recognises the Island has made humanitarian aid donations but says we all have a responsibility to do more.
Lord Dubs recently spoke to a Syrian student who finished his education at a camp in Jordan and asked what his future plans were:
Questions raised about airport's safety and workplace culture
Garff Commissioners introduces street light scheme to be more 'proactive'
Douglas Council purchases seven EVs for 'fleet renewal' programme
