Demand for help with church properties
The Island's outgoing Lord Bishop has issued a challenge to government over church properties.
Speaking on Manx Radio's Praise programme this morning, Robert Paterson said the church should not be bearing the whole financial burden of looking after its buildings, particularly as some are used for secular purposes, too.
He points to the United Kingdom, where assistance can be sought from the government itself directly or through the likes of heritage lottery grants.
