Temporary changes take effect in May
Loganair has today (24 April) announced cuts to its services connecting the Island the UK, as part of a review into its operation.
The Saturday route from the Isle of Man to Birmingham has been removed - at least until the end of the summer schedule on 26 October.
The airline says it is 'taking decisive action to stabilise and bring resilience to its core flying network' under new CEO Luke Farajallah.
Changes will be introduced in early May.
Meanwhile, Isle of Man Airport says the alterations will have a 'minimal and temporary impact on the Isle of Man routes' and 'should bolster resilience with additional standby aircraft available for technical contingencies.'
It adds it's scheduled to meet with the new CEO and Chief Commercial Officer on Monday 'to further look at strategies going forward.'
