New deal ensures staff, including those based on the Isle of Man, won't be taking strike action
Loganair cabin crew, including those based on the Isle of Man, have accepted a revised pay offer from the airline.
Unite the Union confirmed its members have agreed to the enhanced offer following the threat of strike action.
Cabin crew will receive an eight percent increase on basic pay backdated to April, along with improvement to standby payments and allowances, as well as a one-off payment of £500.
A further eight percent increase will be added in April 2027.
It comes after 98 percent of Unite members voted in support of strike action following concerns over a previous offer.
Unite General Secretary Sharon Graham said: "The Loganair pay deal only came about because our members were prepared to take strike action, if necessary, to get what they deserved. It’s a good deal which will significantly lift the take-home pay of the cabin crew. The message is clear, If you want better jobs, pay, and conditions then join Unite."
Unite Industrial Officer Carrie Donoghue added: “The Loganair cabin crew remained resolute and determined to get a fair pay offer from the company. The deal over two years is well above inflation and it recognises the hard work of our members. We are pleased that Loganair ultimately seen sense and got back round the negotiating table to make an enhanced offer before any industrial action had to take place.”
In a statement issued to Manx Radio, Loganair CEO Luke Farajallah said: "I am delighted that our cabin crew colleagues, represented by Unite, have voted to accept this two-year pay agreement. It provides certainty for our colleagues and for Loganair over the next two years and reflects our commitment to investing in our people and the long-term sustainability of the airline.
"I would like to thank our cabin crew colleagues and Unite representatives for their engagement throughout this process. This is a positive outcome that underlines the importance of open dialogue and working together. To our cabin crew colleagues, thank you for your continued commitment to Loganair and our customers. I am delighted we can take this positive step forward together."
