Clinics to be reinstated from next week
The Island's breast clinics are to be reinstated from next week (22 April) as Manx Care has secured a locum Breast Radiologist to assist the service.
The previous locum began an 'unplanned, short-term absence' on 31 March which was expected to last four weeks.
The disruption had an impact on patients, with some left unsure when their urgent referrals would be dealt with, and Health Minister Claire Christian faced an emergency question in the House of Keys - you can read more here.
The health service has confirmed patient lists are now being reviewed, and the team will be calling patients to confirm that their referral has been received.
In the meantime, anyone experiencing any worsening or new symptoms since their referral is asked to contact their GP practice.
