Island residents ignoring road safety messages
Police say it’s sad some locals are letting the side down by ignoring the TT road safety messages.
This weekend, two Island residents were involved in high-profile incidents: one biker was caught doing 135mph in a 60 zone, while another motorist was stopped going the wrong way over the Mountain Road.
Inspector Derek Flint says there have been plenty of warnings about officers being around to enforce the rules of the road.
And he says locals shouldn’t fool themselves into thinking it’s OK to flout the law because they live here:
