Barton wants 'inspirational' Mark Cavendish to be recognised
A local sculptor has called for a statue of Mark Cavendish to be erected.
The Manx Missile is currently level with Eddie Merckx's Tour De France record of 34 stage wins.
Amanda Barton has immortalised Sir William Hillary, Sir Norman Wisdom, T. E. Brown, Joey Dunlop and George Formby, among others, in public art.
She says recognising Cavendish would benefit the Isle of Man:
'Significant disruption' to drug supply networks but fewer OCGs targeted
Motorists urged to slow down on resurfaced roads
Island starts introduction of digital immigration products
