Bridge Bookshop running 'Give a book' initiative for festive season once more
A local bookshop has brought back its children's Christmas donation box for another year.
It's an initiative by Bridge Bookshop, which has stores in Port Erin and Ramsey.
They have boxes where people can pop in their donations until the end of November; from there the books will be sent to the Salvation Army Isle of Man branch.
Co-owner Angela Pickard says she got the idea almost a decade ago:
Last year, Bridge Bookshop donated eight full boxes to the Salvation Army, and similar numbers are expected this Christmas.
Angela said that the bookstore will also donate books of their choosing to the charity.
Until 30 November, people can buy books for children aged 0-16.
