Liverpool terminal worries for watchdog

Call for firm promises on bus link

Passenger watchdog TravelWatch says it has serious concerns about proposals for a new ferry terminal in Liverpool.  

Next week, Tynwald will be asked to approve spending up to £3.5 million to buy a site at Princes Half-Tide Dock, as a base for a new, purpose-built terminal.

The site is around half a mile from the current Pier Head landing stage, which is to be redeveloped as a cruise liner terminal.

TravelWatch is calling for firm promises on a bus link to the city centre before any deal is struck.

The group's John Pennington says the site is not convenient for foot passengers:
