The treasury minister is setting out the final budget of the Cannan administration.

Chris Thomas will unveil government spending and taxation for the upcoming financial year in unusual circumstances - given he's only been in charge of Treasury for one month.

Typically, Treasury sets out more than £1 billion worth of spending, with money going to schools, healthcare, capital projects and pay awards to name but a few.

The minister will begin February's Tynwald sitting by delivering a major speech where he's expected to substantially lift the personal tax allowance, as part of efforts to "put money back in people's pockets".
