Reports that Manx charity has been unable to secure funding
A Manx charity which helps people to live independently at home looks set to close later this month (28 August).
Live at Home has reportedly sent a letter to members informing them of the decision which it says is due to 'financial reasons'.
It says: "This decision has not been an easy one and we have looked at various options over the last few months - which has included reducing services - which would keep us going for a short while, however without secured funding this is not going to be possible."
The letter adds the charity, which celebrated a quarter of a century of service to the community last year, has been unable to secure funding to continue.
It says their team is 'at the end of the phone' for any queries from those affected.
The charity hasn't updated its website or social media feeds with the announcement.
Manx Radio has contacted the charity for comment.
