Tynwald vote next month
A member of the Department of Education believes the lines have been 'blurred' in a difference of opinion over school co-location.
In September, St Thomas' Church of England primary school will move to the Scoill Vallajeelt site in Saddlestone where there is unused space.
The two schools will remain separate but will share a campus.
Around 400 people formally objected to the proposals, due to go before Tynwald next month, citing various grounds.
However, departmental member Ann Corlett MHK hopes common sense will prevail.
