Annual commemorative service cancelled
Buildings around the Island will light up in purple tonight to mark Holocaust Memorial Day.
This year's commemorative service to remember the estimated six million European Jews, and countless others, killed has been cancelled at short notice.
It's the second year in a row it hasn't gone ahead - people are being urged to light a candle instead as a mark of respect.
Organiser, and member of the Isle of Man Jewish Community, Carol Jempson explains why it's important to remember:
The theme for Holocaust Memorial Day this year is 'One Day'.
Every day this week, we are marking the event with a daily podcast, read by Carol Jempson. Carol shares the stories and experiences of real people, recalling One Day in history that changed their lives.
