Belfast Coastguard raised alarm
Two lifeboats were launched last night after concerns paddleboarders were in difficulty in Castletown.
Belfast Coastguard requested assistance from Port St Mary RNLI just after 8pm due to the dark conditions.
Lifeboat crew located the two paddleboarders - who did not require assistance – and they made their own way to shore.
Anyone undertaking watersports is being urged to ensure they have suitable safety equipment and the means to call for help if needed.
