Josem joins growing list of candidates
The chair of Liberal Vannin has added his name to a growing list of candidates for the upcoming Douglas South by-election.
Michael Josem announced he wants to stand this afternoon, in a bid to replace LibVan counterpart, Kate Costain, who resigned from the House of Keys this week.
Two new members will be elected on 27 August, with the by-election delayed due to the Covid-19 outbreak.
The constituency's other MHK, Bill Malarkey, passed away in February,
Two others have already declared their intention to stand - Claire Christian and Kevin Oliphant-Smith.
All prospective candidates are asked to submit nomination papers by 29 July.
