Party 'fully behind' plans
The Liberal Vannin party has thrown its full support behind plans to open negotiations over a possible extension to the median line between the Isle of Man and the United Kingdom.
A similar motion was tabled by the party's founder, the then Onchan MHK Peter Karran, a decade ago, but was unsuccessful.
The motion came about as a result of a petition in the names of Keith Kerruish of Ramsey and Phil Craine of Douglas - which Paul Craine MLC presented to the court this month.
Despite opposition from the Council of Ministers, it received overwhelming support.
LibVan now says it looks forward to government taking the matter forward in line with the clearly expressed will of Tynwald.
