Party chairman's firm wound up after accumulating huge tax bill
Questions on Treasury's involvement in liquidating the Lib Vann Party secretary's company won't be hindered by accusations of bias.
That's according to Onchan MHK Peter Karran, who asked Treasury for tax information on developer Street Heritage.
It was part-owned by Jamie Irving until 2010 when it was wound up after accumulating a £180,000 tax bill.
Mr Karran wanted to know who made the decision and what authority the minister has over Income Tax-related matters.
He says Mr Irving's ties to the party had no part in it:
