Whole council to sit as a committee for the first time
Expert evidence on domestic abuse will be heard at next week's sitting of the Legislative Council.
As MLCs consider the Domestic Abuse Bill, Kate Lord-Brennan had asked for a three-member select committee to hear from experts on the subject.
However, every member wanted to be involved, so the whole council will sit as a committee on Tuesday.
It will be the first time a LegCo sitting has been held in this way.
The sitting takes place in the Legislative Council Chamber on Tuesday from 10.30am.
