
The latest attempt to have Legislative Council popularly elected has been voted down by LegCo members.
Today, the council considered the Electoral Reform Bill 2011, being steered through by David Callister MLC.
The proposals would have seen eight constituencies on the Isle of Man, with eavh voting for three MHKs and one MLC.
However, it was defeated at its clauses stage by five votes to three.
