Wildlife experts dispute advice from Net Zero Matrix
Leave ivy growing on trees alone.
That's the advice from the Manx Wildlife Trust, which has hit out at misinformation being spread in the name of conservation.
The trust's Conservation Officer says the idea that ivy kills the trees it grows on is a misconception - in fact, many of these trees are already dying due to the disease Ash Dieback.
Andree Dubbeldam says those cutting ivy off trees to help the environment are actually having the opposite effect:
