Problems on lower promenade
Some Laxey residents have been evacuated and an area of the lower promenade in the village has been cordoned off because of the stormy weather.
The decision was taken after some erosion was discovered in the cliff face at the rear of a property on Old Laxey Hill.
The owners of that property and homes on Back Shore road have moved after advice from structural engineers.
Police are thanking residents for their co-operation.
It’s expected the area will remain closed all weekend.
