Jim is raising money for SARDA IOM
The chairman of the Isle of Man's Search and Rescue Dog Association is aiming to raise funds to train more dogs to find missing people.
Jim Macgregor will climb 50,000 metres by his 50th birthday.
Four dogs are currently undergoing training but funds are low to train others.
Jim told Manx Radio he's dedicated his personal challenge towards raising the money needed:
