Heavy rain has left grass bank unstable
A section of the Laxey to Ramsey coast road will close for five days in a bid to cut the risk of more trees falling.
The Department of Infrastructure has announced a daily closure will be in place between 9am and 4.30pm from Thursday.
The grass bank next to Green's Garage has become unstable following recent rainfall, resulting in one tree falling and blocking the route last week.
Following an assessment by the DoI and Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture, it's been decided the closure will be necessary to remove several more trees.
Parking suspensions will also be used on Minorca Hill and Old Laxey Hill in a bid to limit congestion, with Glen Road still closed following last month's flooding.
Outside working hours, one lane will remain open with temporary traffic lights in place, while access to properties will be maintained.
