But MD won't be drawn on a precise date
The Steam Packet's new flagship vessel has been launched at the Hyundai Mipo yard in South Korea.
The Manxman emerged from its drydock on schedule and in full Steam Packet livery, in a ceremony watched by the company's Fleet operations and project manager.
The ship will now enter the second phase of the build programme with the fitting of electrical systems and internal structures.
It's due to enter service next year but managing director Brian Thomson wouldn't be drawn on the precise date:
