Sailor comes off unhurt
Lifeboat crews in Douglas were called into action late last night, after an 11-metre yacht came into difficulty.
The sailing boat, which had just one man on board, was traveling to the Island from Belfast when its engine began to overheat seven miles offshore.
The Sir William Hillary was deployed shortly after 10.30pm when the lone sailor - who suffered no injuries - radioed for help.
She then towed the yacht into Douglas and berthed alongside the Visitors' Pontoon on the Battery Pier.
