Douglas, Ballaugh and Port St Mary looking for new board members
Residents in Douglas, Port St Mary and Ballaugh have until tomorrow to submit their nomination papers.
Both Douglas Council and Port St Mary Commissioners are looking for one new local authority member whilst Ballaugh Commissioners needs to fill two seats.
Former Mayor Janet Thommeny resigned after nearly 10 years as a councillor, whilst in Ballaugh, the commissioners have had three members since April 2025.
Forms can be found on the government website and must be returned to the respective local authority by 1pm on 17 June.
If more than one person in Douglas or Port St Mary and two people in Ballaugh step forward, then polling will be held on 16 July.
