'Run your cold water tap', urges Manx Utilities
Douglas residents are being urged to run their kitchen or downstairs cold water taps, with large parts of the city experiencing 'discoloured water'.
Manx Utilities says it's due to maintenance work on the network, and the more customers who run their taps, the quicker it will clear.
A spokesperson says: 'It’s a short term issue following cleaning of the Glencrutchery service reservoir', adding there's 'no cause for concern' and it's believed it 'won't take long for the system to return to normal'.
