Campaign to make the invisible visible
People with hidden disabilities are being encouraged to take advantage of an initiative which aims to make the invisible, visible.
Compassionate Isle of Man is supporting the Sunflower Scheme – a lanyard which discretely identifies that the wearer may need extra help.
It’s hoped it will raise awareness of issues faced by people with chronic medical conditions, mental health issues, learning difficulties and visual or hearing impairments.
Wendy Smith is leading the project – she’s hopeful that Island businesses will show support:
Investigation underway after man dies in Barregarrow crossroads collision
DHSC 'taking charge' of Noble's Hospital capacity issues
Manx Care and DHSC open to public meeting about Ramsey Cottage Hospital
Police still receiving reports of AI being used for 'cruel purposes' in schools
