Marine biologist says few children experience nature first hand at school

A former marine biologist says it's 'very sad' that more pupils don't get a chance to experience wildlife and nature first hand as part of the schools' curriculum.

Dr Jeremy Paul, who worked in the marine biology field before becoming a wildlife artist, says very few schoolchildren are taken to look at wildlife as part of their lessons.

Dr Paul spent time at the Marine Biological Station in Port Erin while studying the subject.
