Minister says it's a shame backbenchers blocked mandate debate
The health minister says the lack of debate on Manx Care's Mandate and Operating Plan won't prevent it coming into effect on 1 April.
Claire Christian had been due to hold a general debate in Tynwald this week, but eight backbenchers voted against allowing the motion to go ahead.
It means members won't now get the opportunity to debate the documents until after they come into force.
