Pay award estimated to pose a £4.8million risk to healthcare provider's finances
Manx Care's vice chair says a lack of control over the pay offer made to a significant portion of its staff is having an impact on the organisation's finances and staff.
The healthcare provider negotiates pay deals with its medical staff, but many of its administrative roles are covered by the Public Services Commission's agreement.
The board is currently forecasting an overspend over more than £18million this financial year, with a potential pay award posting a further £4.8 million risk.
