KWC students set high bar with results

Elite College cohort excel in IB diploma

Pupils from King William's College have set the bar high this year with their International Baccaleureate diploma results.

Six students scored more than 40 points out of a possible 45, which the College says puts them into the top 5% of all pupils worldwide.

The highest achiever was Seth Aycock, who was awarded 43 points, placing him in the world's top one per cent. He is off to study Linguistics at Trinity Hall, Cambridge.

The IB is an internationally recognised qualification taught in 140 countries across the globe.

The entire upper sixth year group of 54 pupils, achieved an average of 32.6 points in their IB exams this summer, equivalent to a typical A-level grade offer from universities such as Birmingham and Manchester.
