Wildlife Park staff took decision after treatments fail
One of Kush the panda's young cubs has had to be put down by staff at the Curraghs Wildlife Park.
The red panda, known for his frequent escapes, fathered two cubs earlier this year.
The smallest of the two, a boy named Kamal, was said to have developed a 'constant shake'.
Staff and vets undertook a variety of tests to determine the cause of the issue, and eventually found it to be neurological, and therefore untreatable.
Kamal eventually lost the ability to move his back legs, and staff felt the best course of action was to put him to sleep.
Meanwhile his sister Aria is said to be doing very well.
