
Douglas Council says it’ll create a new garden to commemorate the life and work of the Island’s best-known artist and designer.
2014 marks the 150th anniversary of Archibald Knox’s birth, and to the council says it wants to mark the occasion as part of the Island of Culture celebrations.
Archibald Knox became world famous for his artwork and designs – particularly his metalwork, jewellery and watercolours.
Council Leader David Christian says there’s already a garden in Douglas named after Knox, but it's not exactly a fitting tribute:
