Local authority says such incidents 'must stop'
Douglas Council says its recycling team have been put 'at risk' after knives were found during its rounds.
The local authority's crew found numerous 'sharp metal objects' as well as a sieve and whisk in a recycling box left at the kerbside.
It says those wanting to dispose of such items must take them to the metal skip at the Eastern Civic Amenity Site.
The council adds the safety of its staff is 'extremely important' and is asking for residents cooperation to ensure everyone stays safe.
