Firefighters deployed to St Johns complex this morning
Firefighters were called to Tynwald Mills this morning after a gas explosion.
Crews from Peel, Douglas and Kirk Michael were deployed at 9.21am to a commercial kitchen at the St Johns complex.
A member of staff was treated for shock.
Gas engineers from Isle of Man Energy attended the incident and disconnected the supply to the appliance involved.
Minimal damage was caused to the kitchen and an investigation is now underway to identify what caused the explosion.
