The Buchan also moving teaching online
King William's College and the Buchan School have announced they will be moving all of their teaching online from Monday, 23 March.
Pupils will no longer be required to come onto the school site, but instead they will carry on with their studies through a number of online platforms - the college says.
Term will continue until Friday, 27 March when the college will break up as normal for the Easter holiday.
Joss Buchanan, the Principal of the College, commented: "The safety of our community, both pupils and staff, is our absolute priority and with more and more members of the school having to go into self-isolation, this is the best way to support the pupils as they continue with their education. We have been planning for this eventuality over the last couple of weeks and I am very grateful to my colleagues for all the hard work that has gone into making this possible."
As things stand, at the time of writing, the Department of Education, Sport and Culture says state schools will remain open.
